In areas like ours here in the Delaware Valley, hazardous snow, ice, and winter conditions, in general, are inevitable. When bad weather is on the horizon, we’re often cautioned to put out wiper blades off our windshields to prevent them from freezing fast. Doing this also allows drivers to remove snow and ice more easily. With newer Lexus models, drivers might notice their wiper blades are tucked under the hood, so we had our Client Advisor, Asha, show us how to put new Lexus wiper blades into “Winter Mode”

Step 1: Turn on your vehicle.

Step 2: Turn off your vehicle, then immediately hold your wiper stalk in the ‘mist’ position. This will pull your wipers up onto your windshield.

Step 3: Exit your vehicle, and prop your wipers away from your windshield.

These are the same steps you should follow if you ever needed to change your wiper blades, too.

Putting the blades back is simple.

Step 1: Gently place your wipers back onto your windshield

Step 2: Start your vehicle, and turn your wipers on. That’s it!
